elevate your vison

Hello Family and Friends!
This week was a good week! The mission set a goal to have 50 new investigators each week for the rest of the year! In order reach that goal that the mission set we had to find like crazy! I'll be honest and say that I was a little apprehensive about this goal cause finding 3 new investigators seemed a little bit out of reach but we decided to just try as hard as we could to find some new investigators. I just knew that if we tried we would be blessed. We were able to find three new investigators this week! That was really awesome! Heavenly Father truly does work in mysterious ways! Missionary Work is seriously so awkward. This week I've been focusing a lot on doing things for God and not for any other reason.

Our recent convert Josh is doing so well! He received the priesthood and he got his temple recommend! We are so excited to go to the temple with Josh and experience that with him! He is doing so awesome!
We had an awesome experience last night! We tried a couple of people and they weren't home last night but as we were walking down the street this cute little dog ran over to us and this cuter old woman started asking us why we were out so late. We started talking to her and we she was super grateful that we were out sharing good in the world! She said that she would read from the Book of Mormon and that we could come back to see her! It was way cool!

We also were able to teach a man that is in Sandy Valley and just had a daughter go on a mission! It was so cool! We talked with him about the importance of Christ and building our relationship with him through the Restoration of the Jesus Christ! It was really awesome to be a part of! You could tell that he has already been starting to think about accepting the Gospel into his life and that has been prepared by Heavenly Father! I am so excited for him!

I've been focusing on making my prayers more meaningful this week and it has been really awesome. My mission President gave me some good advice as we were talking and he told me that I should try to invite the spirit into my prayer before asking questions. I was able to start to put that into practice and it has been eye opening to me how much the spirit makes the difference for us. It was amazing. I'm grateful that this is a gospel of trying and not of perfection. I am so far from perfect it isn't even funny.
