Week 7: miracles!

Malo e lelei, talofa, and hello family and friends!

I'm hoping that this email doesn't decide to suddenly delete itself because I want to actually write a good email for once! So if you're reading this than you know that  it worked! Yay! I'm sorry my email sucked last week! Such is life.

On Monday we had transfers! It was a park and clean day which means that we had to stay  inside for most of the day and clean the apartment. Ours was pretty clean so we spent most of our day shopping for food, and getting ready for our new companion to come into our area. We also got together with our zone and signed transfers journals (basically a yearbook but for missionaries) it was pretty fun! We headed to transfer after that where we met Sister Sasa! Not going to lie I was/am slightly nervous about being in a trio but Sister Sasa is great and brings a lot of fun and life into our companionship! She is also a beast when it come to sharing the gospel when we tract or street contact which is good because I hate it right now! Later that night we were going to correlation with one of our Ward mission leaders and Sister Sasa went to go kick her water bottle in the street but then she all the sudden her skirt just ripped basically all the way up. It was the greatest thing to witness ever. She then wore a blanket around her during our meeting. Oh my it was the greatest. We now have four hours of studies in the morning! That's crazy! They are all each worth it though! Most days I'm surprised at how focus I can stay when I study but then there are other days where I can't sit still. Who knows but it is so worth it! We went to Kiana's volleyball game on Tuesday night at her high school! That was a lot of fun! It reminded me of being in high school just that short time ago and let me just say I don't miss it at all! Hahaha after her game we went tracting. I am not good at the whole knocking on doors thing. I currently just don't like it one bit and I'm pretty sure that my companions get annoyed with me because I'm so stubborn about it. However humility is key and I have to keep humbling myself to the will of Lord and if he wants me to tract then he wants me to tract! On Wednesday we had another lesson with Cherry. Oh man that was a long lesson. She can talk! We talked to her about the importance of scripture study so that we can receive answers to her prayers and about having purposeful and specific prayers. She didn't realize that she could have specific prayers so we talked to her about that and she was pretty happy about that. Oh my I just love her! That lesson really taught me how to make reading my scriptures better. It's amazing the things that come out of your mouth that ends up probably teaching me more than the investigator. It happens all the day. I guess that just goes to show us that when we serve others we are really serving our selves. I love prayer. I'm not the best at it but I love that I can communicate with my literal father in Heaven about anything and everything that I need to or want to. I love being able to ask for specific things because that shows my faith in him and well as my clear desires of my heart. I love that Heavenly Father answers my prayers when he knows it is best. I'm grateful that I have someone watching over me and has planned my life so that when I ask I can be guided. We have to ask for the things that we need. We have to ask with a sincere desire. Heavenly Father will not just all the sudden help you and give you a miracle because he gave us agency and with that agency we need to use it turn to our father in heaven in prayer and pray with a purpose and specifically for the righteous desires of our hearts. Just try it out and see what happens. Thursday was another pretty slow day but there were a lot of little miracles that happened throughout the day! The first one was that we woke up to a text from one of bishops with a list of names that we should visit because we asked him. That was really good. We texted them all and set up some appointments. After that we were in the lounge where we get internet and we updated our area book app and we got 14 new referrals!!!!! They were from church headquarters but it was crazy! I immediately was like oh my goodness that is an answer to our prayers! We texted them as well and set up some appointments. I was amazed. The church is true. Later that night after dinner we visited some of them. When we knocked at one of there houses a woman answered and said that she didn't know anybody by that name. We got talking to her and she said she was a Christian. We kept talking about church and although she declined us coming and talking to her she did seem interested in coming to church. Who knows what will happen with that but it was cool! We finally got to meet another woman who we have been trying to see for weeks. We set an appt with her. After we had those experiences we had like 15 mins before we had to go home we went and saw one of the referrals. He was a super nice guy. He was a born-again Christian who belongs to a church in San Antonio, Texas. He was so devout about his faith that I'm pretty sure he thought he was preaching to us and telling us things that he believed that he probably thought we didn't know or believe in. The sad part for me was that everything he said was at the basics the same as everything that we believe in. There is just more to it and that other stuff brings forth so much clarity and hope. We left that house by giving them a Book of Mormon and testifying that it goes hand in hand with the bible and with me saying a prayer with them. That was nerve racking but I felt the spirit very strongly as I was talking to him about the Book of Mormon and during my prayer. My only hope is that one day he will see the book and read it for himself. I love the bible. I love the Book of Mormon. I believe they go hand in hand with each other because Heavenly Father loves all his children and because he loves his children he gave all of them another opportunity to hear the words and teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ. There is no greater feeling then digging yourself into reading the scriptures and finding answers to your prayers or when we have an aha moment and everything just clicks. I love the strength that it gives me while I am on my mission and the hope it brings to the children of God. Friday was a pretty slow day because of weekly planning. We had a lesson with Steph though and we talked to her about temples. She has the desire to be with her family for eternity. At the end of the lesson Steph committed to getting baptized after she graduates from college in December. It may seem a little far out there but I was a step in the right direction for us and for Steph. We had dinner that night with a family who has a son that is about to get baptized. They wanted us to teach their son the lessons. He was such a little dude but he really understood the gospel. Saturday was a day full of miracles. We started out the day by going to a stake presidency missionary breakfast and that was delicious (mom they had egg casserole like you make for Christmas, it was so good! Not as good of yours of course) then we had another meeting with some of the sisters in our surrounding areas and our sister training leaders. It was pretty nice to not be around elders for our meeting but to hangout with the sisters for a little bit. After that meeting we had a lesson with one of the referrals that we had contacted. Victoria is such a sweet girl. She is a member who went inactive after her parents got a divorce and she had been praying for some guidance in what she should do. She began telling us her story of why she wanted to meet with us and she said that she had been praying for some direction and then miraculously we had texted her afterwards and she felt like that was an answer to her prayers. We started talking to her about the power of prayer and specific prayers and she started to breakdown because she really wanted to go back to church but she knew that her mom wasn't going to be an easy hurdle to get over to get her there. We then told that she had been an answer to our prayer and that we wanted to help her in any way that we could. The power of specific prayers is real. I resonated so much with her and I wanted her to know that sometimes we have to go through the hard stuff to get the easy stuff. With great trial come great reward. We left that lesson with a strengthening of her spirit and duty to God and with a strengthening in my testimony of the blessings of God. After our lesson with Victoria we were supposed to take Cherry to a baptism of some of the elders in our zone but she bailed on us saying that it had been a hard day for her. As we were going back to our apartment to get our dinner from a member we decided to ask her if she wanted a priesthood blessings. She said yes. My heart literally skipped a beat and I was nervous. Especially since we had never talked to her about priesthood blessings before. We explained it over the phone slightly and then called the elders closest to us for their help. We went over there immediately to give her the blessing. It was a powerful experience. Cherry has been going through some hard stuff and she needed the comfort of the Lord. During the blessing she started bawling and then after she said she felt better and at peace. The power of the priesthood doesn't just work on the faithful members of the gospel, it works for any faith in God person that is willingly to act of their faith. It couldn't have been a better experience. I'm so thankful for those elders and their willingness to respond to their call as priesthood holders. After the blessing we had an amazing lesson with Mike. We had the lesson at a members house and it was so spiritual. I can't remember what I have said about Mike but he is a faithful follower of Jesus Christ who is trying to fully come back into the fold again. This time for himself not anyone else. We talked to him about keeping the sabbath day holy, studying the scriptures, and prayer to our Father In Heaven. Mike expressed to us that he had a strong desire to continue to better himself in the things of the gospel. As we testified of the necessity of each of these things in our lives it became clearer and clearer to Mike that he could do it. He could fully come back. After the lesson he told us that it was exactly what he needed and that he was so thankful for us. People like Mike and Victoria make this work worth it. Honestly this week has been really hard. We haven't been the busiest and the work is hard work. It can be super defeating. People don't know how to communicate with others and believe it or not there is still girl drama in the mission field. It never ends. However this week has been full of miracles and testimony strengthening experiences. There is no way that this work would be possible without our savior and our Heavenly Father. Relying on the lord is not a weakness. Saturday night we found out that Sister Sasa was being emergency transferred to another area because a sister was going home because the food here is fake and she is from the Philippines. I was super sad because we were with her for like a day and she was the best. His will be done though. Yesterday we spoke in our other Ward about temples and had another lesson with Cherry. Cherry is so solid I hope everything works out soon so she can get baptized! Our talks went really well, I love the temple. Man I wish I could go there everyday. This week was rough but Heavenly Father is real and I'm grateful for the miracles I have seen in my life this week and the growth. Believe or not I'm changing but for the good this time! ðŸ˜‰
'Ofa Atu, I love you!

Week 6 end of first transfer! Oreo companionship!

Hola familia y amigos!
I made it to my the end of my first transfer! It's is crazy how fast time has gone by! It is just moving along super fast and super slow at the same time. This week has been pretty slow. We got transfer calls on Saturday! Sister Huni and I are still companions in the Lone Mountain Stake. We did find out though that we are getting a third companion. Oh goodness I am slightly nervous. Adding another person into the mix is crazzzyyy. We pick her up at the transfer building tonight. Her name is Sister Sasa! She is from Samoa. So in other words we are like an Oreo and I just happen to be the delicious white creme. Haha it will be interesting to say the least but I have heard super good things about her! Like I said earlier this week was super slow. I got the stomach flu on Tuesday so all Wednesday I was stuck inside with a member while Sister Huni went to our appt with another member. It sucked to be inside all day and not doing the work. I was so sick of laying in bed but all is well now and that passed by in a day. Thursday was slow because we had weekly planning for like three hours but we met with one of our investigators and she is slowly progressing. We really have to take things slow because she is so young (13).   Then we had dinner with a less active family and that was interesting. He served in the army for 36 years and he was really awesome. He has guns everywhere. After dinner we went to the relief society activity and that ended our day. The rest of the week was pretty much spent making visits and seeing a couple of people. It is good to get to know more members but man we need some new investigators. One thing I have learned from visiting with less active members is that satan works super hard and wears down on people so much to make them feel like they aren't worth being apart of the gospel because of one thing or another. It is so important to self evaluate and think about the ways that we are letting satan attack us. We had a lesson with cherry this week and she told us that after reading some of the pamphlets she realized that there is something that she needs to take care of. So she has postponed her baptism date. I really love her! She is so honest and is set on getting baptized. We are still meeting with her and she is still coming to church so that is pretty good. I think she will get baptized within the next two months. This week was pretty slow but the work is really good and I am loving my mission! This next transfer will be interesting. I'm sorry this was super short but I wrote a super long one and then it got deleted so I'll write a better more detailed one next week! Love you alllllll! Today has been crazy so all your personal email might have to wait!

Week Five: I went on a biking mission!

Hello Fambam and friends!
How is everyone? I hope you are all well! This week was a pretty slow week full of meetings and not that much success. It was an extremely long week. We moved on Monday into our brand new apartment (no other missionaries have ever lived there). It feels so good to have our own area where there is no one watching over us. Plus it is way cooler cause we are officially in charge of the thermostat. When we got to the apartment we had literally nothing in it so we had to travel to the mission office on Tuesday and fill our car with a bunch of crap. On Monday night we were supposed to have a lesson with D but he bailed out and then we just simply asked him if he was still interested in meeting with us. He said no so we got dropped. It's the best feeling ever. Sike. I hope that one day he remembers how he felt in our lessons and at church and that he will come to the gospel. We also dropped three other investigators this week because they weren't interested anymore. Such is life. On Tuesday we had another meeting and spent most of our day at meetings and then at the mission office. It was a pretty uneventful day. Wednesday was a pretty eventful day though! We went to the temple and participated in a session and my first time in a sealing. It was so awesome and so spiritual. I wish I could go to the temple all the time. Seriously it is the best. I always leave the temple with more clarity and a better attitude for what I am capable of. The sealing was super cool to witness and be apart of. I cannot wait till the day that I can participate in my own sealing. Families really are forever. I feel so blessed to have the crazy family that I do! After the temple we went to go pick up our car because it was in the shop but they weren't done with it yet so that when we went on bikes. That was interesting but so fun! One of the brakes wouldn't work on my bike so when I got to the top of the hill I couldn't stop see where dinner was so I just zoomed down into the park that had grass and slowed myself down. It was a comical experience. Riding a bike is hard work especially in a skirt. I managed to rip my skirt and tear up my shoe because I couldn't stop and I ripped my shirt at the temple. It was very interesting. The bikes were so fun though. After dinner we rode down to a less active member and met with her for awhile and we helped her son figure what to on his date that
he was going on. Then we pretty much rode home and the night view of downtown Las Vegas is so pretty. That was the end of my biking mission for now. I have great respect for those that are on a permanent biking mission. Seriously feel for them. On Thursday we made a couple visits after getting are car and had meeting with one of our ward mission leaders. It was a slow day. On Friday we had a training meeting with the mission president. That was really good. President help us greenies to better our companionship and tell us some things that we can work on. I have lots to work on but all good things. After the meeting we had some less active appointments and had dinner with one of our bishops. He is so awesome and has such a missionary minded spirit. Such a great blessing we just need more investigators in that ward especially since we just dropped some. He is so great though.
After dinner we had an appointment with cherry. She is still a super solid investigator and loves going to church and meeting with her. She told some things that she is going through and I had to try so hard to hold back from crying because I just love her so much and I know that all these hard things will bless her so much. On Saturday we filled our day with visits from referrals that we had gotten from some of our wards and met with a couple of them. It was a long day but super good to get to know people better. After our visits we worked on our talks for the next day. Sunday was a super good day. We both spoke on conversion in one of our wards and that went really well. After we
spoke we sang with the ukulele. Yes mom I got up there and I sang in front of everyone. It was nerve racking but it actually went really good. I'll attach a video of us singing on Thursday for practice. The
rest of Sunday went pretty well. We are getting K ready to go do baptisms at the temple and we had another lesson with Cherry. She is the best. Also on a sidenote I spent $33 dollars on pens today. Yes
I'm a pen snob and no I will not share with anyone. Hahaha it is so great. Anyway that was my week! I hope everything is so great over wherever you all may be. I love you and miss you so much! ❤️

Week Four: K got baptized! We are moving!

Hello all!
I hope all is well with each and everyone on of you and that you haven't forgotten about me quite yet! This week was a little bit rough but it ended with a great baptism and great news that we are moving into an apartment! Let me just share some things from this week. Last Sunday we received a referral from the mission office for a woman named Cherry! The older sisters that work in the mission office had run into to her when she was dropping off mail (she is a mail woman) and started talking to her and gave her a Book of Mormon. We met with her last Sunday for the first time and she is literally one of the most humble and sincere people I have ever met. She has four boys and has been wanting to find some answers to some questions she has. We committed her to a baptismal date next month and we have met with her 3 times since then. They came to church on Sunday and they loved it and he boys loved primary. It was a really good experience for them. It was really awesome seeing how everything had played out for her because the gospel came into her life right when she needed it. She has so much potential and she already identifies herself as a Mormon. She is so solid. I just love her. We have been having a member come with us to every lesson that we have with her and that has been SO helpful. Member missionary work is necessary for the Lords plan to be accomplished. It has been a great experience. The rest of the week was fairly slow we had a couple lessons with some investigators and less actives and they were good but somewhat defeating I guess. We spent majority of the week trying to get Kiana ready for her baptism on Saturday. She was so ready for baptism. The baptism on Saturday went so great. She had so much family from different states come and support her and it was so great to see all the love and support that was brought to her. It was kinda of weird though because I felt like I was at a friends baptism instead of at an investigators baptism who I
played a role in. It hasn't really set on yet that I play a role in helping these people come unto their loving Heavenly Father. We also had some great Hawaiian food after from a family in one of my ward and it was so good! It feels so good to watch people you love come into the fold. I seriously love the people I teach so much it is almost bizarre because I thought that was something I was really going to struggle with but it hasn't been hard for me yet. Sister Huni and I are still getting a long pretty well. I think that we are getting over that honeymoon stage and onto the point where we need to learn how to overcome each others differences. I'm so grateful for her though and the love hat she shows me when I'm in a horrible mood because I'm tired and for the example that she has been for me. Seriously she is the best trainer a girl could ever have! We also got the call on Friday that we are moving into an apartment right outside of our area!Thank goodness! Living with Our member has been pretty good except for the fact that she doesn't believe in air conditioning and the heat puts me to sleep everyday. Seriously it is such a struggle getting awake and staying awake. I'm excited to move and be able to have be as cold as I want it to be! Yay sweatshirt weather! Haha. Since we cover
two wards in our stake we go to six hours of church. Honestly six hours usually goes by pretty fast and I enjoy it a lot but yesterday was slightly exhausting. Missionary work is exhausting and sometimes I wanna watch Netflix all day but like I said last week It is so worth it! I love it. I can't believe that I have already been out for a month! Craziness! I have to speak next week in one of our wards and I have to sing with Sister Huni. She basically volunteered us but we are singing with the ukulele so hopefully all will go well and Heavenly Father will bless the ears of those listening cause we all know I am not a singer. Haha I'm excited to take about conversion though and get in front of the ward and show them that I'm ready to work.We also went to one of our investigators twins birthday party and we posed as a mermaid and a pirate. It was a lot of fun! They are the cutest girls! I love you all so much and appreciate the love that has
been shown and felt.
Ps. We may have had a mini photo shoot #sistermissionarylife Also when you have rough day or you meet goals for, the previous week you treat yourself to some good old froyo

Week Three: So worth it!

Hello from the beautiful brown wonderland that I live in! This week was really good! We had a lot of lessons with some really solid investigators and we have been prepping K for her baptism on the 22nd of this month! I have learned a lot of new things about the gospel and gained greater knowledge of what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ. We had a zone conference of Wednesday where President Ahlander and his wife gave us trainings of faith and hope. President Ahlander spoke on faith. It became really clear to me that faith and faith in Jesus Christ are to very different things. When you have faith you can have faith in anything and just kind of believe it is true or that something will work out. You can just kinda say yeah hopefully the next door that I knock on will hold a good prospect. When you have faith in Jesus Christ it changes your perspective and mindset of how you think about something especially the gospel. My mindset began to change from yeah I hope that the next door will have someone behind it that could benefit from the gospel to yes because of my faith and knowledge in Jesus Christ and knowing that through him all things can happen I know that knocking on these doors will be worth it. It was an eye opening training and really caused me to think about where I stood with my faith in Jesus Christ. My question to you all is do you have enough faith in Jesus Christ even when the answer is no or not what you wanted it to be?

Another thing that really stood out to me this week was a lesson that we were having with K. We were talking about the Gospel of Jesus Christ or about faith, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost and
enduring to the end. K wasn't quite sure how all the pieces of the atonement were fitting together so we decided to explain it one more time and Sister Huni said something that really changed the mood of the lesson. "Jesus Christ sacrificed himself for each and every one of us. That is why he performed the atonement and we must go through him in order to be whole again because he has literally felt each personal pain and anguish that we do." It might not sound that profound but it really stood out to me and to K because it exemplifies the sacrifice that Jesus Christ personally made for each and every one of us. He is our lifeline back to Heavenly Father. He is the only on that can get us to where we need to be. That is why we must work through him to feel whole again and why he can replace any feelings that we may feel we are missing. Immediately K started crying and then we all started crying cause as many of you know I'm basically the best cryer when others cry or in movies. She then expressed her gratitude towards the atonement and repentance. It was probably the most spiritual lesson I have taught so far. I just want to second her testimony of gratitude. I'm so grateful for the atonement and repentance so that I can live with my Heavenly Father again. I know that because of Jesus Christ we all can be made whole again. It has happened personally in my life and it is can happen in anyone else's life.

The last thing I wanted to say was how thankful I am for the priesthood. Not having a worthy priesthood holder in my home growing up was difficult for me and caused me to never really use the power of the priesthood as much as I should or could have. Ever since I have been on my mission it has become clear that the power of the priesthood is real and that the authority of God is on the earth again. When I was in the mtc I received two blessings. Two blessings in 12 days it was way out of the ordinary for me but it was everything that I never needed. One blessing in particular strengthened my
testimony of the priesthood more than it ever has before. Right before I left for the field I along with the other sisters in my district received blessings. An elder from my district gave me the blessing and he mentioned stuff that he didn't know about me but what struck me the most was when he said "Sister Camilleri I hope you remember some of the things I said because that was the first time I have given a blessing and not remembered anything that I said" it was so clear to me then that Heavenly Father was working through him to bless me and it was literally Heavenly Father himself speaking through him. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. Ever since that I have reflected on that comment. I am so grateful that the priesthood is here on the earth and that God gave this authority to those worthy to receive it to help those on earth and to administer his work. I'm so thankful for the Brother Casper and his willingness to give me blessing when I asked growing up. It has strengthened me so much. I'm so grateful for that elder who was worthy to receive the priesthood and help strengthen my testimony. This gospel becomes better and better the more I learn and teach it. I promise you that as you strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ and his work and that as you effectively and willingly use the power of the atonement that it will literally change lives.

The work here is so great. Las Vegas holds a lot of very kind people that are ready to believe and love this gospel. I'm excited for K's baptism and have learned so much from her example of being excited about this gospel. I hope you all are doing well! I pray about you all always! I love you!

Ps I almost knocked on a nudist door and he was having a nudist
party...that was gonna be interesting hahahahaha

Week Two: I want some authentic Mexican food

Hello Hello Hello from the still not that pretty Vegas!
This week was slow. We spent two days at our Stakes Girls Camp so that totally threw us off schedule. They were super fun days though and we even had a dance party on Friday to non motab music and I jammed so hard. Literally had people coming up to me telling me that I was an awesome dancer. I mean what can I say I can never not dance when there is music on. Sister Huni even got a video of it but I'll keep that to myself talk about embarrassing! It was some super fun days though at camp and we got to know the girls in our wards so much better and we had about four investigator there so it was good to go and see them. It was really fun but it threw us so off on Saturday so we were not the best missionaries on Saturday because we were lagging so much.Yesterday was a rough day. One of the wards that we cover has been a little hard to deal with and it is frustrating because we have a lot of potentials in the ward but we need there help because we won't always be there for the investigators but I know it will get better as Sister Huni and I learn how to work with them and help them understand our work and our purpose. Our other ward is literally the best though, I love them so much! K is getting baptized on the 22nd and we are so excited for her! She honestly is one of the sweetest spirits that I have ever met and she has a great support system around her. I love seeing her come closer to her Heavenly Father and realizing that there is something bigger than herself that I watching over her and wants the best for her. D is progressing. The lesson that we had last Monday
was good. We found out that he knows the church is true and wants to be baptized but that he is afraid of the commitment. We have some work to do but I think we will see something good come out of our lessons. It is so weird how I love all these people that I meet and how much I want them to come to know for themselves that the things that testify of are true. It is hard to not be able to do that for them. I do know though that in order for anyone to want to know for themselves then they have act for themselves. This gospel is all about action and it takes a lot of work. Sometimes it can be disheartening to our investigator and us because we know it is worth it but they cannot see it yet. So far my mission has been very rewarding and I have learned lot about myself but it is definitely not easy work. It is emotionally exhausting. I love it though. Someone told me the other day that this
might not be the best 18 months of my entire life, but it will be the best 18 months for my life. That is so true. I'm sure I will have better 18 months but I will be eternally blessed by doing the work of the Lord for the rest of my life. Also on a sidenote I have had so much Mexican food this last week and it is fairly good but I miss some good authentic Home cooked food even though we literally had rice and beans every day at home. I also miss Seattle, now that I'm gone I miss the green and rain and the beauty of home. Seriously Las Vegas is only pretty at night. Anyway life is great here in Las Vegas and the work is moving a long. I love you all!

WEEK ONE

Hello from the almost pretty mountains of Vegas!
I have officially been in the mission field for a week now and oh my what a week it has been. The members here are fantastic and help us out so much when it comes to working with people. i don't think i have every been around members that care about missionary work as much as we do. i serve in two wards so yesterday was a bit of a long church day but it didn't feel like i went to six hours of church because we were going in between the two wards all day. it was really great and there is a lot of love in this area. This week was a busy week. There was a lot of training that went on because im a new missionary so we weren't as active in the work as we normally would be but we still did have so great lessons and great people. On Wednesday we met at a members house for dinner and they had some nonmember friends there. D was a nonmember who had a member wife and when we were talking about the atonement it became so clear to me and to the people around us
that it is real. Jesus Christ suffered for each and every one of us and that is simply amazing. After talking about the atonement D committed to start taking the missionary lessons. We are starting them tonight. I think that there will be a lot of good that comes out of these lessons because we can see that he has a desire to find out for himself his relationship with Heavenly Father. Ever since i have been out here i have noticed how vital it is that we find things out for ourselves. These investigators will not get anything out of these lessons if they are not willing to pray about it and find out for themselves. I have noticed how important that is to my own life because if you are just going along with things because they sound right then you will not be able to have a strong testimony of it because you did not take the time to pray and find out for yourself. That is so essential to our growth in the gospel. I also had my first tracting and service opportunity. Tracting was interesting. there were
people that did not want to hear what we had to say but they surprisingly were still really and nice and we got so much water cause they felt bad for us. We helped a nonmember move into her house on Friday too. that was a good experience because you can see these people start to realize that the church isn't a bad church and we are not corrupt. some of the things people think amaze me. Hahaha. Sister Huni and I were also teaching a less active member this week and she had some really awesome quotes on her wall that I think everyone should take a minute to ponder about.
"write your worries in sand, carve your blessings in stone" and "The truths of the gospel are deep in my soul."
I seriously love both of these quotes so much. I love the first one because i think that it is telling us all that in the end our worries don't matter but it is the good things in life that we should remember. Every-time I read it it reminds me that I need to be a more positive person and that is something i really need to work on. The second one just simply blows me away. it tells me that the gospel should mean so much to us that it is carved deep into our souls and that as we grow we have the ability to have them in our soul as long as we are continuing to grow and be positive.it was good week in the field. not easy peasy but it was really good.I promise that if we try to find things out for ourselves and pray often that we will be able to receive our answers. i love you all.
